[ARCHIVED] Volunteers Needed For The Tree Committee

Volunteers-needed

  • Volunteers Needed For The Tree Committee

The Heber City Tree Committee is currently seeking two individuals to fill vacancies on this tree board. What is the Tree Committee? We are sub-committee of the Open spaces, trails and parks committee. We work with the planning department and the Heber City Board to create plans and ordinances to care for our city public trees. We also work with the local high school to educate kids interested in learning about trees and the importance they create in a community. We complete the work necessary for Heber City to be a tree city USA member. We have Arbor Day activities and are working on plans to create an Urban Forest. We are seeking dedicated and motivated people with Arborist, landscape architecture, nursery background, or anything dealing with knowledge and the care of trees. This is a non- paying volunteer position. We meet once a month on Tuesday afternoons and occasionally attend the Heber City council meetings. If you are interested please contact Robin Bond at rraines@heberut.gov.
