Heber City General Plan Receives APA Utah Award

Envision Heber 2050 and the Heber City General Plan Awarded the Highest Honor

HEBER CITY, UT, October 21, 2020 -- The Utah Chapter of the American Planning Association (APA Utah) presented Heber City with the High Achievement Award for the Heber City Envision 2050 General Plan. The annual APA Utah award ceremony for 2020 was held over a Zoom meeting on Wednesday, October 21, 2020. Several local officials and committee members were in attendance.

The award recognizes the APA’s highest acknowledgment for planning excellence in Utah. According to Chapter President Ted Knowles, “It’s a really important thing for us to celebrate great plans . . . and to learn from those award winners.”

After receiving the award, Heber City Manager Matt Brower commented, “This is quite an amazing award for Heber. We’re so honored to receive it for Envision Heber 2050. Never has Heber City undertaken such a comprehensive effort to outreach and try to garner as much input as we possibly could from the community.”
