Eric Straddeck

Eric grew up a Navy brat living an exciting childhood in Utah, Idaho, California (twice), Texas, Athens Greece, and Maryland (twice), where he attended high school.  After high school he lived another two and a half years in Greece, Cyprus, and Israel. Eric earned a Bachelor of Science at BYU with double majors in Accounting and Middle East Studies and then a Master of Accountancy with an emphasis in Information Systems.  While at BYU he married his wife Glinda and they are now the parents of one girl and four boys.

In 2001 Eric was working for a large consulting firm in Fairfax, Virginia when he felt the itch to join a small startup company, which resulted in his family moving back to Utah and to the Heber Valley as he took part ownership in small local company. The transition from corporate America to a start-up enterprise forever cemented his love for the small business environment and the challenges and rewards that come with it.  Eric also started and runs a small business consulting practice and he is a partner in a commercial cleaning business located in Park City. Since coming to the valley he completed a second Master's degree, an Executive MBA, from the University of Utah. 

Eric was elected to the Heber City Council in 2007 and is excited to work alongside his fellow council members, the mayor, and city staff in serving Heber City residents.  You may contact Eric by email at eric@hebercitycouncil.com
